Training Mandates
This course meets state guidelines for the following mandated subject areas:
- Crisis Intervention (12.0hrs with 6.0hrs Scenario-based)
- Officer Wellness and Mental Health (1.0hrs)
- Human Rights (1.0hrs)
- Procedural Justice (1.0hrs)
- Use of Force – De-Escalation Techniques (8.0hrs with 1.0hrs Scenario-based)
- Use of Force – Officer Safety Techniques including cover, concealment, and time (8.0hrs with 1.0hrs Scenario-based)
Description
This 40-hour Training course is a foundational training for mental health professionals that routinely work with law enforcement either during on-scene response, or as a support to community members following police involvement.
