Description

This course is a no nonsense, simplified law enforcement street medicine class.  The goal is to keep medical treatment simple for law enforcement officers on the street.  This course has pared down multiple topics, focusing on what street officers really need to know while on the street and under stress.  The Keep It Simple Stupid (KISS) strategy is the goal of this curriculum.   The information presented is based on current TECC guidelines and common practices.

This course will include classroom time, static practice stations, followed by hands on scenarios. Force on Force training will be utilized for portions of this class (Airsoft).

This class is not a replacement for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), or Rescue Task Force (RTF) dedicated curriculums.

Officer equipment for class (individual bring):  Flashlight, duty belt and or external vest carrier depending on how the officer’s personal equipment is setup. If you carry a tourniquet on your web gear or vest, bring the set-up you use.  We will supply training tourniquets for the class and protective gear for Airsoft usage.  Dress comfortably, this is a semi-physical class.  In addition, this class will include patient/victim movement (lifting) utilizing mannequins.

NO HOT WEAPONS IN CLASS – SAFETY CHECKS WILL BE PERFORMED!
