Description
In Death Investigations, law enforcement officers will gain a comprehensive understanding of their roles in death investigations and their essential collaboration with the coroner or medical examiner office. This course combines classroom instruction with practical experiences, TBA… Classroom instruction includes a focus on collaborating with jurisdictional death investigation agencies, recognizing common causes of death, processing scenes based on various situational factors, and documenting and preserving critical evidence. A review of case studies will also encourage critical thinking regarding application of basic investigation techniques and crime scene investigation skills.
