Kevin Burke

Attorney Kevin Burke is well known throughout the state for his legal outlines and instruction on a variety of topics relevant to Illinois peace officers. He has a broad background in law enforcement, prosecution, and law related instruction to criminal justice professionals.

Mr. Burke served as an attorney with the Office of Chief Counsel of the U.S. Customs Service. In that capacity he instructed and advised special agents and inspectors while assigned to the U.S. Customs Service Academy at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco (GA). He was a legal instructor at the University of Illinois Police Training Institute, and taught federal money laundering law for the U.S. Treasury Department’s Fraud and Financial Crimes Program.

Mr. Burke was a supervisor and prosecuting attorney in the DuPage County (IL) State’s Attorney’s Office. He also served for seven years as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service, assigned to the Chicago Field Office where he conducted criminal and intelligence investigations.
