Brad Besson

Brad Besson is a 25-year veteran of the Illinois Department of Corrections. Brad started his career at the Taylorville Correctional Center as a correctional officer before promoting into the adult/juvenile parole division. In April 2004, he joined the Detention Standards Unit. Brad has performed over 400 county jail inspections and over 1,000 juvenile monitoring compliance visits. He has assisted in two separate reorganizations of the Illinois County Jail Standards. Brad earned a B.A. in Social Justice Professions from the University of Illinois, Springfield.
