David McLearin

Officer David McLearin is a 14-year veteran of Law Enforcement, including four years with the Decatur Police Department.  He has served his entire law enforcement career as a patrol officer.  In addition to his patrol duties, Officer McLearin has served as a Field Training Officer, a Crime Scene Technician, and a Crisis Negotiator.  Before law enforcement, he was a minister for seven years.  Officer McLearin has received numerous awards, commendations, and letters of appreciation.  In 2014, he received the Champaign Police Department’s Medal of Valor.  In June 2014, Officer McLearin completed the 40-hour FTO Master Trainer Course conducted through Applied Police Training & Certification (APTAC) out of Duncan, Oklahoma.
