Jeff Davis
Jeff Davis began his career as an Ohio Law Enforcement Officer in 1999 after serving two years as a deputy sheriff. In addition to road patrol duties, he has been assigned to the following sections: criminal investigations and intelligence; internal affairs; and policy, accreditation, and records. Currently, he is assigned to the training academy and serves as the risk manager.
In addition to his normal duties, Jeff Davis has served as a subject matter expert for the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission and routinely lectures on topics related to search and seizure, civil liability, bias-based policing, and American government for the Highway Patrol, MAGLOCLEN, Columbus State Community College, and the Ohio State University’s Public Safety Leadership Academy.
Jeff Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Youngstown State University in 1998. In 2006, he earned a juris doctor degree from the Capital University Law School and is licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Ohio. Jeff Davis also completed training at the Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command in 2011.
