Sgt. Chad Beasley
Sgt. Chad Beasley is a 22-year veteran of the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office and former Paramedic with Arrow Ambulance (Carle Hospital / 7-years). Currently Sgt. Beasley is assigned to night shift patrol as one of the shift supervisors, in addition, he is the Sheriff’s Office METRO SWAT Commander (multi-jurisdictional team). During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, he has been an FTO, Canine Handler (~8.5 years), current member of the METRO SWAT Team (13-years), former METRO Sniper (~10 years), and worked on the Street Crime Unit (narcotic unit / 3 years).
Sgt. Beasley runs the Sheriff’s Office medical program and assists with in-house training, for control tactics, high risk vehicle stops, active shooter, and general patrol tactics.
Sgt. Beasley has an associate degree in criminal justice through Parkland College, holds an Illinois Paramedic License (inactive status), and is a ILETSB approved instructor for TECC, Active Shooter, General Tactics, High Risk Vehicle Stops, and Control Tactics (PTI).
