Training Mandates

This course meets state guidelines for the following mandated subject areas:

  • Law Update  (annual)
  • Civil Rights  (every 3 yrs.)
  • Constitutional & Proper Use of Authority  (every 3 yrs.)

Description

This training has been approved for 8 hours credit toward the 32-hr. recertification requirement for Lead Homicide Investigators.

This course expands on the basic online investigation techniques that are vital to any officer’s arsenal of tools – offering a unique response to crime with unconventional free resources.  Additionally, a session demonstrating how hackers are creating havoc will help officers deliver an educated response to the victims of Internet crime.  Participants will receive lifetime access to the Basic Investigations Resources and Advanced Investigations Portal areas of the instructor’s website, including updated links, content, software, guides and templates.

Prerequisite

Completion of High Tech Investigation Techniques (basic 1-day) is a prerequisite for attending this course.
