Description
This training has been approved for 24 hours credit toward the 32-hr. recertification requirement for Lead Homicide Investigators.
The three-day workshop is designed to develop the forensic photography and scene documentation skills of the incident scene investigator. It presents detailed instruction in fundamental photographic principles and exposure to useful photographic accessories. The basic techniques and organized approach recommended for documenting incident scenes are introduced. In addition to novice crime scene specialists and forensic personnel, this training is well suited for investigators who have limited familiarity with photography equipment and would like to further enhance their skills.
Students will work through a number of practical exercises and receive immediate feedback from instructors. Their photos will be printed and returned to them while they are still participating in the workshop – allowing instructors the best opportunity to evaluate student work and help them correct any deficiencies. It also provides the student with permanent reference materials that can used in the field.
The workshop will be conducted by Imprimus Forensic Services from Arlington Heights, Illinois. Due to the hands-on nature of this training, enrollment will be strictly limited to 22 participants.
