This course provides comprehensive instruction on the theory and practical application of hostage negotiation techniques, covering key aspects like active listening, rapport building, managing demands, understanding hostage-taker psychology, team dynamics, and legal considerations, with a focus on de-escalating crisis situations and prioritizing hostage safety through simulated scenarios and practical exercises. This is phase I & II of a three phase curriculum.
