This course is certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board.

Description

This one-day program will highlight recent changes to the County Jail Standards in Illinois and will provide useful information for reducing exposure to civil and criminal liability. Enrollment is open to all levels of county corrections — from line officers to jail administrators.

Course objectives include improving safety for staff and detainees; protecting the civil and legal rights of staff and detainees; and encouraging the efficient management of county jails and municipal lockups.
