Training Mandates

Description

This course will update patrol officers on the latest changes to the Illinois Medical Marijuana Law and the recommended procedures for documenting a medical marijuana impaired driver. The course covers the new A-7 cannabis per se blood testing law, decriminalization of marijuana law, the new felony upgrade for Butane Hash Oil labs, and the new FDA approved marijuana drug “Syndros.”  Instruction will include dramatic changes in the law signed by the governor in August that allow medical marijuana purchase and use without an ID card for current prescription narcotics patients.  Advances in field sobriety testing research and how to recognize medical marijuana “Bootleggers” will also be discussed.
