Training Mandates

This course meets state guidelines for the following mandated subject areas:

  • Civil Rights (0.5hrs)
  • Constitutional Use of Law Enforcement Authority (0.5hrs)
  • Emergency Medical Response (1.0hrs)
  • Legal Updates (1.0hrs)
  • Procedural Justice (1.0hrs)
  • Lead Homicide Investigator (4.0hrs credit)

Description

The Illinois Department of Transportation, with support of various emergency response agencies and groups, has established a statewide Traffic Incident Management Training Program. This 4-hour course includes participants from all disciplines involved in incident management and is the first multi-disciplinary class of its kind in Illinois. The goal is to provide responders with information and best practices that improve their safety at highway incident scenes.

  • Special Circumstances (Vehicle fire, HazMat, Vehicle fluid spills, etc…)
  • Clearance strategies and Scene Termination
